Joseph A. Boshart
Joseph A. Boshart is President and Chief Executive Officer of Cross
Country, Inc. Mr. Boshart joined Cross Country's predecessor as
its President in January, 1993 and added the title of Chief
Executive Officer in January 1994. Under Mr. Boshart's management
and guidance, Cross Country has become one of the largest providers
of healthcare staffing services in the U.S. He is responsible for
acquiring businesses in order for Cross Country to offer clinical
research staffing business, search and recruitment and education
and training. These successful acquisitions not only vertically
integrated the company into its hospital clients, it also offered
its nurses alternative career opportunities thereby strengthening
its relationships with its nurses. Additionally under his tenure,
Cross Country more than doubled its size through its merger with
TravCorps Corporation in 1999. Trained in finance, Mr. Boshart
navigated Cross Country through a management buyout and ultimately
a successful initial public offering in October 2001.
Prior to joining Cross Country, Inc., Mr. Boshart spent 14 years
with W.R. Grace & Co., the last six as assistant to the chairman
and CEO, a position which followed a career in the Business
Development and Business Economics units of the company.
Mr. Boshart is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of
Michigan, Class of 1979.
