In these difficult economic times many staffing companies and placement companies have experienced severe decreases in their revenue and profit. Many agency owners have hard that opening a medical staffing division may be the solution to their short term business declines as well as a smart long term investment.The major goal of this session will be to provide an overview of the pro's and con's of the medical staffing business enabling participants to decide whether they want to further explore this burgeoning product line. To this end, critical information about the industry will be provided to participants; participants will learn about who the target client base is, what types of medical staff can be provided to clients and the size and potential of the market.

Participants are presented with a realistic review of what is involved in starting a medical staffing business during the topic. Organizational structure, operational systems, recruitment and marketing, credit and collection issues, insurance requirements and state regulations. In addition, the capital investment required to start a medical division is discussed.
