Greg Kurmadas

President

In 1995, Greg Kurmadas began his career at The Whitaker Companies in the Medical Division as a Physician Recruiter in the start up Physician Assistant Department. In only one year, his department became the most successful and rapidly growing group in the division. From there, Mr. Kurmadas forged a path of continuing success and advancement to become President of that Division in 1999. Since that time, the Medical Division of Whitaker has experienced an 85% production increase.

In August, 2000, Mr. Kurmadas was named successor to the company's founder, Bruce Whitaker, and assumed the role of President of The Whitaker Companies in July of 2001. Mr. Kurmadas was founding President of the National Association of Locum Tenens Organization (NALTO) and presently serves on its Board of Directors. He is also Vice Chair of the Alliance of Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting Associations, which was formed in 2002 to represent both the permanent and contract placement of physicians, allied health professionals and nurses. He is frequently called upon by medical schools, professional associations and service organizations to speak on employment, recruitment and the healthcare marketplace. He is certified as a Staffing Specialist by The National Association of Personnel Services and as a Physician Recruitment Consultant by The National Association of Physician Recruiters. Prior to joining Whitaker Medical, Mr. Kurmadas worked for 16 years in public relations and marketing. His experience includes extensive on-camera work as spokesman in a large number of national and regional television commercials and in training videos. Mr. Kurmadas attended the University of Houston, majoring in Journalism.
